Message from from michele romeo, PSTG 2025 Board Chair

Dear PSTG Members,

I hope this message finds you well. I am thrilled and deeply honored to have been selected as your Board Chair for the 2025 calendar year. Allow me to take this opportunity to introduce myself and our esteemed board members:

Michele Romeo (Board Chair)

As your Board Chair, I bring over 35 years of experience in health care information technology, with a focus on large-scale IT operations and contract management. My background includes serving as both a State Medicaid CIO and a Vendor, and I currently operate as Principal at MR Consulting, LLC, providing expert guidance to executive management and Government Sector Clients.

Tony Franklin (Board Vice Chair)

Tony Franklin, currently a Managing Director at E&Y leading their Medicaid Practice, has been an integral part of PSTG as our Treasurer for the past 10 years. With his extensive experience in Medicaid Systems Implementations, Operations and Project Management, Tony brings invaluable insights to our board.

Martina Wood (Board Treasurer)

Martina Wood, our newly elected PSTG Board Treasurer, serves as the Chief Operating Officer at FEI Systems. With her wealth of experience in Government Healthcare including Medicaid, LTSS and Behavioral Health, Martina is a valuable addition to our team.

Colin Watkins (Board Secretary)

Colin Watkins, the newly elected PSTG board secretary, is currently the Director of Health and Medicaid for Public Knowledge.  His expertise resides in management and quality assurance.

Lisa Alger (PSTG Board Immediate Past Chair)

Lisa Alger, our Immediate Past Chair, has been instrumental in guiding PSTG's initiatives in her roles as Board Chair and Vice Chair. As a Business Consulting Senior Director at NTT DATA, Lisa's level of expertise is invaluable to our organization.

We are keen on engaging our membership in a more meaningful manner. The Board is committed to facilitating connections between our tech community members and states seeking innovative solutions. We recognize that State Medicaid agencies are eager for innovation, presenting a significant opportunity for investment in the healthcare sector. Together, with our state partners, we can modernize Medicaid IT systems to better serve the needs of States' programs, providers, and beneficiaries. CMS and states are prepared to invest in innovative solutions, and we are here to help meet those needs.

Your input is crucial to us. Please share your ideas on how PSTG can better serve you by emailing me at mvromeo11@comcast.net. I eagerly anticipate a productive year ahead for PSTG.

Best regards,

Michele Romeo
